Retribution

0 pts

No points in this tree.

Holy supports a partner through healing, Cleanse and carefully timed blessings. At maximum rank, Illumination returns 60% of a qualifying heal's base mana cost on a critical heal. Divine Favor does not make the next heal free.

Strengths

  • Cleanse and blessings provide direct support against specific threats.
  • Plate armor and defensive cooldowns can buy time to stabilize a supported position.

Weaknesses

  • Interrupts and crowd control can deny sustained healing.
  • Dispels can remove important blessings and force another defensive decision.

Key Talents Explained

Holy Shock Holy

A mobile heal or offensive option when a full cast is unsafe.

Divine Favor Holy

Makes the next eligible heal critically strike.

Illumination Holy

At full rank, qualifying critical heals refund 60% of base mana cost.

Spiritual Focus Holy

Reduces healing pushback from damage; interrupts still matter.

Guardian's Favor Protection

Reduces Blessing of Protection cooldown and extends Blessing of Freedom duration.

How to read the matchup

Opportunities

  • Freedom can turn a rooted or slowed teammate into useful pressure when you can keep healing range.
  • Use a safe cast window to recover health before spending time on offensive positioning.

Threats to plan around

  • Interrupts and crowd control can deny sustained healing.
  • Dispels can remove important blessings and force another defensive decision.

What changes the outcome

  • Check dispels, Forbearance and the blessing already on your teammate before selecting the next defensive response.

Alternative Specs

Retribution — coordinated burst and utility Arena option

Retribution combines melee damage with blessings, Cleanse and control. It needs a deliberate connection window and partner support; its value cannot be judged from a single large Seal proc.

When to use: Use this variant after agreeing how your team covers the tools you give up.

Decisions to practice

Before the setup

Use line of sight and partner peels to create a real Holy Light cast window.

During pressure

Match blessings to the threat: Freedom for movement effects, Protection for physical pressure, and Sacrifice when its damage transfer serves the plan.

When the plan changes

Remember that Divine Shield can be removed by Mass Dispel. Plan where you will stand and how you will recover before using it.

Review one game

Review one blessing use: did it solve the current threat, or did it overwrite a more useful blessing?
