Arena Rating, Weekly Points and Titles

Match results affect rating. Weekly Arena Points buy equipment. End-of-season titles follow the season's ladder and eligibility rules. These are related systems, but a particular rating does not guarantee all three rewards.

Use rating as feedback over a series of games. After a loss, identify the missed control, defensive decision or positioning error that you can change. One game's rating movement is not a complete assessment of your play.

A generic Elo equation does not reproduce every part of the game's matchmaking and rating system. This guide does not promise a fixed gain for beating a particular opponent.

Blizzard's February 18, 2026 Anniversary announcement awards points from the eligible bracket giving the largest payout, rather than adding all brackets or simply taking the highest rating. It specifies at least 10 games in a bracket for weekly eligibility.

Read Blizzard's formula announcement. The estimates below use the same calculation as the rating and points calculator.

Enter your desired weekly points in the calculator to compare the minimum rating for each bracket. Low targets can already be covered by the formula's minimum positive-rating payout.

Check your current season's vendor for item cost and purchase requirements before planning a gear order.

Do not read 2,200 rating as a guaranteed Gladiator title, or 2,000 as guaranteed Duelist. Cutoffs depend on the applicable ladder and season rules.

For historical context, Blizzard's 2021 Burning Crusade Classic announcement used percentage-based standings for Gladiator, Duelist, Rival and Challenger. Read the original season announcement.

Use the announcement for your actual season to check eligible brackets, required participation, rating conditions and reward timing. A personal best from earlier in the season is not a guarantee of the final award.
