Hunter + Warlock + Disc Priest + Resto Shaman + Holy Paladin
Also known as: TriHealer
Overview
Three healers make the team almost impossible to kill while Viper Sting, Drain Mana and Mana Burn slowly remove the enemy mana pool.
Playstyle
Survive the enemy opener, then turn the game into a resource war. Damage is low, so the win comes from an enemy healer running out of mana while your team still has three full bars.
Why It Works
Three different drains stack on one target and three healers guarantee the team lives long enough for that to matter. The Hunter and Warlock only need to stay alive and keep the pressure on.
Win Conditions
- Viper Sting, Drain Mana and Mana Burn on the same enemy healer
- Survive the first two minutes with externals and Blessing of Protection
- Bloodlust burst once the enemy healer is out of mana
- Force enemy DPS to drink while your Hunter keeps sting pressure
Strengths
- Three healers with Pain Suppression, Blessing of Protection and Earth Shield
- Three sources of mana drain
- Fear and Freezing Trap to slow enemy burst
- Very forgiving of small mistakes
Weaknesses
- Very low kill pressure; games run long
- Loses to comps that avoid the drains and burst one healer
- Requires disciplined mana management from all three healers
- Opponents adapt quickly once they recognise the plan
Tips & Tricks
Pick the enemy healer with the smallest mana pool as the drain target
Hunter keeps Viper Sting up permanently, Warlock adds Drain Mana between Fears
Healers rotate drinking: never let two drink at once
Save Bloodlust for the moment an enemy healer goes out of mana
Countered By
- Elemental burst comps that kill before the drains matter
- Comps with Innervate or Mana Tide Totem
